Maureen Wilkinson, Director
As Director of HarborOne U®, Maureen Wilkinson, known to most as “Mo,” brings many years of valuable credit union work experience to HarborOne’s newest community education initiative. Prior to joining HarborOne in 2009 through a merger with NationsHeritage Federal Credit Union, Maureen held the position of President/CEO of the Attleboro based institution. Originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Ms. Wilkinson has worked in the credit union industry for 25 years in a variety of capacities including President/CEO of Warren Federal Credit Union in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Hewlett Packard Rocky Mountain Federal Credit Union in Loveland, Colorado. Prior to moving west, Ms. Wilkinson was the Chief Financial Officer at Justice Federal Credit Union, in Washington, DC.
Ms. Wilkinson’s educational background includes an Executive MBA from Loyola University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a Minor in English Literature from Anna Maria College. In 2002, Maureen was named Outstanding Young Alumnus of Anna Maria College for attaining significant professional achievements at a young age and an impressive record of mentoring many others along the way who quickly went on to become successful executives themselves. Upon receiving the award from AMC, Ms. Wilkinson quoted her longtime friend and mentor from the College, “Sister John once said that her most precious reward as a teacher was to send out students with an open and curious mind, the ability to direct their own lives, and in turn, dedicated to teaching others – I strive to live out Sister’s legacy in my own life’s work.”
Ms. Wilkinson’s noted passion for education and creating opportunities for others translates to a great fit for HarborOne U® which has been established with the intention of enriching lives through education.
A resident of Plainville where she lives with her husband and three children, Ms. Wilkinson is an active volunteer serving on various community boards including the Hockomock Area YMCA, United Regional Chamber of Commerce and Anna Maria College Alumni Association Board. Wilkinson is also a member of several professional organizations including the Credit Union Executives Society.
